I first met Kyle during a late night session at the old greenhouse ramp. There was about 8 of us and he was filming for Instagram and wanted a few tricks from everyone. He was pushing me so hard to get my first blunt to fakie. Even though I never got it, he continuously kept filming it and kept hyping me up and giving me advice on how to commit to it! He sent me my closest attempt through Instagram and we exchanged follows. Fast forward to March 2021 when we launched the basement experiment… he made the first ever purchase we ever got which was a set of Comacan X Madn3ss wheels. From that point on, he was so supportive of buying boards and helping get the word out about what we were trying to do. As the pandemic started to settle, I got to hangout and skate with him more and more. Throughout that time getting to know him, he was always just such a nice guy to be around and talk to and laugh with and so easy to get along with! And his skating was always just so mind blowing to watch! You could see the quickest flip in grind flip out combo and then the very next trick would be something incredibly technical on a quarter pipe! You never know what he’s gonna do and that’s what makes his skating so entertaining. You just know you’re going to be mind blown. We knew that he was a perfect person to have on the team, so we gladly welcomed him! As time has gone by… we’ve got to have Kyle as such a warm hearted genuine friend, an absolutely incredible skateboarder and even become a dad! He represents perfectly the vibe and personality we try to have here at Ride and we are so thankful to have him on the team and are honoured to put his name on a board! He already skates like a video game character so it might as well be represented on a board graphic! Thank you for all your support and all you’ve done for us Kyle!
